Aida Aslanova – Senior Lecturer at Petroleum Engineering Department

Year of birth: 1995

Aida Aslanova graduated with honors from the Sumgait city Natural Sciences oriented Gymnasium.

She is a Presidential Scholar.

Aida Aslanova was admitted to the Petroleum Engineering specialty of Baku Higher Oil School with 675 points.

She was the highest-scoring student at BHOS and graduated with honors from the university’s bachelor’s program.

Aida Aslanova studied for a semester at Heriot-Watt University (Scotland) on an exchange program. Upon completion of her studies, she received an Honored Degree.

She became the winner of the DAAD German Scholarship Program.

Aida Aslanova was enrolled in the specialty "Field Assessment and Management" of BHOS, having scored more than 90 points.

In 2019, she graduated from the Double Diploma Program of BHOS and Heriot Watt University.

In 2021, Aida Aslanova was enrolled in the PhD Program in Development and Exploitation of Oil and Gas Fields.

During this period, Aida Aslanova together with Professor Fuad Veliyev presented more than 25 scientific works, which were published in international and domestic journals, and were also presented at conferences, including in the USA, Japan, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Russia, Belarus and Turkey.

Research papers she co-authored in 2023 and 2024 were named “Most Important Result of the Year” by the Department of Earth Sciences of ANAS. Usually, works by the same authors do not receive this name two years in a row, but Aida Aslanova's research papers were honored with this name two years in a row.

8 of her articles were published in international rating journals indexed by SCOPUS, Springer Nature and Web of Science.

Aida Aslanova's presentation on “Electrokinetic regulation of flow in microcrack reservoirs” was highly appreciated and awarded a GRANT at the SCOPUS-indexed International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics held in Osaka, Japan.

The book chapter “Electrokinetic regulation of fluid flow in microchannels” was invited for publication in the SCOPUS indexed book “Hydraulic Engineering-Cutting Edge” by IntechOpen Publishing.
