The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) is delighted to announce the "Stock Pitch" competition as part of a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. This competition is designed to enable students to develop their investment selection and analysis skills while receiving feedback from experienced professionals.

What is a Stock Pitch?

Stock Pitch is a summary of an investment idea or recommendation for a particular stock. Participants are expected to:

• Select a stock adhering to the provided instructions for stock selection
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses on that stock
• Create a persuasive pitch

Who can participate:

• 3rd and 4th year bachelor’s students
• Master’s students
• Bachelor’s and master’s graduates 2023

To apply, participants should form a team consisting of four students.

Prizes:

1st place: AZN 7 000

2nd place: AZN 5 000

3rd place: AZN 3 000

In addition, outstanding participants will be given an opportunity to attend an internship at SOFAZ.

18 September 2023	Application submission deadline
25 September 2023	Announcement of the shortlisted teams
27 September 2023	Selected teams will attend a training conducted by SOFAZ employees and receive instructions for stock selection criteria and stock pitching format
27 October 2023	Submission of stock pitches
3 November 2023	Announcement of the shortlisted teams for the semi-final round
8 November 2023	Semi-final
10 November 2023	Final

To apply, please complete the application form and attach the CVs of each team member. Applications are accepted both in Azerbaijani and English languages.
