As part of the Baku Jazz Festival 2024, Simin Tander Trio performed on the stage of the International Mugham Center: Simin Tander (vocals), Olav Torget (guitar) and Jonas Torget (trumpet).
The trio prepared an unusual concert program. Compositions from different eras were presented in a jazz manner and sounded in several languages of the world. The event brought together a large number of guests. Simin Tander is a German vocalist of Afghan origin, an award-winning artist who records for ECM Records.
The magnificent voice of Simin Tander, her sensual performance delighted the audience. The mesmerizing sound of musical instruments amazed the audience with its magnetism. The unusual concept of the evening, carefully selected repertoire, excellent acoustics and an interesting jazz trio made this evening unforgettable.
Simin performed the song "Ay Lachin" in Azerbaijani for an encore.
Baku Jazz Festival 2024 is taking place in Baku from October 17 to 27. Performers from 11 countries perform at various concert venues in the city. The festival also includes exhibitions, presentations and meetings with world jazz stars.
