Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Samir Mammadov, met with Minister of Telecommunications, Digital Economy and Digitalization of the Republic of Chad, Boukar Michel.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) were discussed. Information was provided on the projects implemented in Azerbaijan in this area, particularly the “MyGov” platform and the SIMA digital signature system. The possibilities for applying Azerbaijan’s digital development experience in Chad were also reviewed.
The parties also exchanged views on cybersecurity, Azerbaijan’s potential support for the development of human capital in Chad, and the involvement of Chadian students in ICT-related training programs in Azerbaijan.
It was also agreed that an action plan covering all areas of cooperation would be developed in the near future. To this end, a visit by Azerbaijani experts to Chad is expected. Chad will also study Azerbaijan’s experience in the establishment of a national data center.
Within the framework of the Chadian delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan, memoranda of understanding were signed with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and Azercosmos, establishing a framework for cooperation in digital transformation, innovation, and the export of digital products.
