On January 29, 2026, the “Capital Meets Inclusiveness: 1st Investor Microfinance Forum” was held, jointly organized by the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE), the Azerbaijan Capital Markets Association (ACMA) and the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA).
The forum opened with welcome remarks delivered by Fuad Isayev, Executive Director of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ogtay Gasimov, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of the Baku Stock Exchange, Orkhan Baghirov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Capital Markets Association and Jalal Aliyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association.
Bringing together representatives of the microfinance sector and capital market participants for the first time in Azerbaijan, the forum aimed to establish a direct dialogue between non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) and investors, present existing investment opportunities within the microfinance sector and expand access to capital markets.
The event was attended by more than 90 participants, including representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, other national regulatory authorities, capital market participants, investors, and leading NBCOs operating across the regions of the country. Within the framework of the forum, investors had the opportunity to directly represent themselves with the financial performance, business models and investment proposals of microfinance institutions.
As part of the event, an award ceremony on Gender Equality in the Financial Sector was held, during which “FINCA Azerbaijan” NBCO was awarded the AMFA Prize in the category of “Leading Organization in Promoting Gender Equality.” This was followed by presentations from non-bank credit organizations, including Embafinans OJSC, FINCA Azerbaijan LLC, Finance for Development LLC, MCB LLC, Monetri LLC, Prior Credit LLC, and Regional LLC.
The forum concluded with a meeting with media representatives, a Q&A session, final discussions, and B2B networking sessions.
