The Corporate Partnership Council Week of the International Transport Forum (ITF) was held in France. In his opening remarks, ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim highlighted the decisive role of partnerships in shaping sustainable transport systems. He also praised Azerbaijan’s ambition, during its ITF presidency, to contribute to a better-coordinated world.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France, Leyla Abdullayeva, underscored that the country has launched significant initiatives as part of its ITF presidency. She noted that policy guidance has been developed for digital connectivity and urban transport, active participation in global platforms is ensured, and Azerbaijan’s contributions to ITF research platforms are steadily increasing.

Alish Ismayilov, Azerbaijan’s representative from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, emphasized that in the modern era, sustainable transport depends not only on infrastructure but also on effective management, coordination, data, and trust. He highlighted the coordinated functioning of different transport modes in Azerbaijan, noting that the establishment of the Transport Coordination and Transit Freight Councils, along with AZCON Holding, provides a key mechanism in this regard.

Azerbaijan was also represented in the panel on “Managing Sustainable Transport.” Its active participation in the Corporate Partnership Council Week further demonstrates the country’s commitment to strengthening dialogue and cooperation for the future of transport.
