On 16–18 February 2026, a delegation from the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) completed a business trip to London.

As part of the visit, BSE representatives, together with officials from the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Azerbaijan, participated in a meeting at the London Stock Exchange. During the meeting, the parties discussed international best practices in sustainable financial instruments, carbon credits and green bonds, as well as opportunities for developing market infrastructure in this area.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of ESG principles in global financial markets, the promotion of green finance mechanisms and existing approaches to the development of carbon markets. The discussions also focused on the prospects for developing sustainable financial instruments in Azerbaijan’s capital market and potential areas of cooperation.

The Baku Stock Exchange continues its efforts to study international best practices and promote the implementation of sustainable financial instruments in the local market.
