Baku State University (BSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (Uzbekistan).
The memorandum was signed by the rectors of the two universities, Elchin Babayev and Shukhrat Sirojiddinov.
The agreement provides for cooperation in organizing joint research projects, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, symposia, training programs, and short-term courses. It also envisages joint scientific publications, the development of academic programs, curricula and syllabi, as well as the exchange of faculty members, administrative staff, undergraduate and graduate students, doctoral candidates, and researchers.
Founded in 2016, the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature is ranked in the 251–300 band in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
