Shahin Novrasli Festival opened in the open-air space at Gosha Gala in Icheri Sheher on the evening of July 3. The festival opened with a rousing concert of Latin American music by Nomade and Josefina Becker. Eric Jacot (bass) and Isac Jamba (drums) also performed.
The vibrant opening of the festival attracted a large crowd. From the very first note, the musicians managed to capture the audience's attention and hold it until the last chord. The dynamic, cheerful, and energetic concert quickly immersed the festival guests in the atmosphere of a Latin American celebration, with many singing along. The concert flew by, and the musicians were greeted with applause. Nomade is a Latin American musical group whose work is based on a fusion of traditional Latin American music and contemporary trends. Vocalist Josefina Becker incorporates motifs of classical Latin American melodies into her own improvisations, complete with her own rhythms and arrangements.
Shahin Novrasli Festival 2026 takes place in Icheri Sheher from July 2 to 12. Over the course of ten days, residents and visitors of Baku will enjoy a special program of music from various genres performed by renowned musicians from ten countries. Shahin Novrasli Festival 2026 will also feature a festival fair, daily DJ sets, a concert featuring young talent, a literary competition, and jam sessions.
