In the second quarter of 2026, drilling operations carried out by SOCAR increased by 32.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 24 thousand metres¹.
During the reporting period, 1.7 million tonnes² of oil and 1.8 billion cubic metres³ of natural gas were produced from fields operated independently by SOCAR or where the company acts as the principal shareholder. Nationwide natural gas production increased by 1% compared to the second quarter of 2025, reaching 12.8 billion cubic metres⁴. Overall, more than 6.6 million tonnes⁵ of crude oil were produced in Azerbaijan during the second quarter of the year.
During the reporting period, SOCAR exported more than 3.3 million tonnes⁶ of oil to international markets. This figure includes oil produced by the company, as well as the shares of profit oil belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR from production carried out by international consortiums operating in the country. During the same period, the country's natural gas exports totalled 6.3 billion cubic metres⁷, while domestic consumption amounted to approximately 2.5 billion cubic metres⁸. Natural gas exports increased by 0.5%, while domestic consumption rose by 4.9%.
In the second quarter of 2026, SOCAR processed more than 1.4 million tonnes⁹ of oil and 679 million cubic metres¹⁰ of natural gas. During the reporting period, 556.4 thousand tonnes¹¹ of oil, petrochemical and gas-chemical products manufactured at SOCAR’s facilities in Azerbaijan were exported to international markets.
