Kayaking training session held for children and teenagers at Kondalanchay Reservoir

On the first day of the Mingachevir Regatta 2026 international competition in Fuzuli, children and teenagers were given an opportunity to try rowing in recreational kayaks.

During the session held at the Kondalanchay Reservoir, professional coaches first provided participants with basic instruction on kayak use, proper paddle technique and boat control. Safety rules were also explained as part of the training.

The children and teenagers then got into the kayaks under the supervision of the coaches and put their rowing skills into practice. The activity gave participants an opportunity to become more familiar with rowing sports and gain their first practical experience on the water.

The initiative was aimed at increasing interest among local residents, particularly children and teenagers, in water sports, promoting productive leisure activities and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
