Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov met with Sacha Backes, the World Bank Group Country Manager for Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the priority areas identified under the “Action Plan for 2026–2028 on Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
The sides also exchanged views on possible World Bank support for digital transformation, the development of AI-based infrastructure, data centres and the Government Cloud, and the training of cybersecurity specialists and personnel with digital skills.
