On 10 December 2022, the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) organised its 10^th Anniversary Gala Dinner with the participation of about 180 representatives of member companies and partner firms to high-ranking government officials and diplomatic envoys in Azerbaijan, who all have contributed to the work and success of AHK Azerbaijan.

The event was opened by Mr Tobias Baumann, Executive Director of AHK Azerbaijan, who welcomed the guests back to the Four Seasons Hotel, where AHK Azerbaijan held its opening ceremony ten years ago. With this special event, he thanked all participants for ten remarkable years of cooperation, commitment and constant support.

Following this, Dr Henning Sasse, CEO of Norm LLC and Deputy Chairman of the AHK Azerbaijan Board and Dr Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency and first chairman of AHK Azerbaijan delivered a welcoming speech.

In his speech, Dr Sasse shared his memories of AHK Azerbaijan and highlighted that AHK Azerbaijan has been the second Chamber of Commerce in the CIS countries after Russia. Dr Akhundov called the success of AHK Azerbaijan “a teamwork” and stressed the importance of the role of everyone present towards this success.

Another highlight of the evening was Live Music by special guest and winner of the Eurovision Song Contest Eldar Gasimov. The Gala continued with a Quiz Game about AHK Azerbaijan with great prices sponsored by member companies, dance performances and live music by the “Efendi” band.
