Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova commented on the 17 January 2024 biased resolution of the Senate of the French Republic levelled against Azerbaijan also as she spoke on 18 January to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to our country Alim Bayel and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan Ilhom Abdurahmon. Having mentioned the existence of double standards in the world, the Speaker said that certain countries that are unable to digest the achievements of Azerbaijan adopted unfair and biased stances regarding our country. We can see this only too clearly in France’s attitude to our country that has become a customary phenomenon of late, Sahiba Gafarova added.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis described the latest resolution of the French Senate as a vivid example of hypocrisy, adding that with such steps France demonstrated open contempt for the standards and principles of international law.
