The Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR hosted an event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs and victims of the Khojaly tragedy.
BHOS Vice-Rector for Education and Scientific Affairs Sevda Zargarova made an opening speech, emphasizing that “the Khojaly tragedy is a page of world history written in blood and it is necessary to inform the international community more widely about this genocide.”

Then Professor of Petroleum Engineering Department Fuad Veliyev spoke.
It was noted that the Khojaly tragedy is one of the gravest crimes committed against all of humanity. Every year, our compatriots living not only in our country but also abroad remember this tragedy as a page in the heroic struggle of our people.
It should be noted that classes at BHOS began with a minute of silence, and a book exhibition consisting of documentary and literature materials dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy was held in a special corner of the library.
