On 28 January 2026, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Yang Jianqiang, Chairman of the Board of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd..
During the meeting, the successful cooperation between SOCAR and various companies of the People’s Republic of China was highlighted. In this context, opportunities for cooperation between SOCAR and CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. in the implementation of energy infrastructure and petrochemical projects, as well as the establishment of joint ventures, were reviewed.
Information was provided on projects implemented by SOCAR in Azerbaijan and beyond its borders, as well as on the company’s corporate strategic objectives.
During the meeting, a Framework Agreement was signed between the companies with the aim of exploring potential cooperation opportunities.
