The Japanese delegation consisted of about 20 leading logistics and transportation organizations and companies such as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), 国際協力銀行 ( JBIC ) – a policy-based financial institution of Japan, Marubeni-Komatsu Ltd, Nippon Koei Co., Ltd, Japan bank for international cooperation, Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang, Nissin Corporation etc.

The delegation welcomed by the officials of the Port of Baku, Azerbaijan Railways, Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company / Azərbaycan Xəzər Dəniz Gəmiçiliyi and the Coordinating Council for Transit Cargo Transportation of Azerbaijan at the Port of Baku in Alat. The guests were introduced to the implementation of streamlined cargo transportation between Europe and Asia through the Port of Baku, which plays a leading role in regional connectivity. The delegation also was provided by information about digital solutions and tools in the transportation management system of Azerbaijan to reinforce efficient and fast cargo transportations as one singe mechanism.

The participants of the meeting also conversed about opportunities to engage the Japanese companies to maximize transit cargo between East and West through the Middle Corridor, which is robustly gaining trust and attention on the global level.
