On 3 March 2026, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Juraj Ondris, Chairman of the Board of SPP.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in the energy sector. The strategic importance of the Southern Gas Corridor in ensuring Europe’s energy security was highlighted. The significance of the commencement of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Slovakia in December 2024 was also emphasized.
The parties also exchanged views on prospects for expanding cooperation between SOCAR and SPP, along with other issues of mutual interest.
