The 4th seminar of the Baku State University (BSU) Alumni Society, titled “Organizational Behavior and Management in ICT,” was held at the university.
The seminar featured BSU graduates Gabil Gasimov, Director of Megasec LLC, Executive Director Ayan Etibar, and Company Manager Arzu Rahimli Dadashova.
BSU Vice-Rector Alish Agamirzayev noted that the university has trained more than 200,000 highly qualified specialists who play key roles in the country’s socio-political, economic, scientific, and cultural life. He emphasized that the BSU Alumni Society serves as an important platform for sharing professional experience with students and strengthening ties between graduates and the university.
Speaking at the event, Gabil Gasimov highlighted that the foundation of his professional development was laid at BSU. He noted that modern technologies not only drive innovation but also simplify daily life, optimize business processes, and support effective management decisions. Emphasizing the importance of information security, he pointed out the growing demand for specialists in this field and encouraged students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills, maintain discipline, and develop teamwork abilities.
Megasec LLC Executive Director Ayan Etibar and Manager Arzu Rahimli Dadashova spoke about the impact of digital transformation on management and the role of trust in labor relations, noting that improper management of technological change can lead to communication gaps and security risks.
BSU Rector’s Advisor on Digitalization and Information Technology Gyuman Garayev stated that such meetings will be organized regularly and highlighted the university’s ongoing digitalization initiatives aimed at strengthening students’ IT competencies.
The seminar concluded with a Q&A session with students.
