An inclusive event titled “Different Individuals” was held at Baku State University (BSU), jointly organized by the “BSU Volunteers” organization and the Inclusive Creative Association “There Is Hope.”

Head of the Department for Humanities and Youth Policy at BSU, Ramin Samedov, emphasized that inclusivity should be viewed not as a separate direction, but as an integral part of society, contributing to social integration and solidarity.

Chairperson of the Inclusive Creative Association, Nazila Maharramova, noted that BSU is among the higher education institutions that place strong emphasis on inclusive values and equal opportunities. She also highlighted the importance of care and support for individuals with Autism.

Esmer Askerova, a public speaker and parent of a child with autism, delivered a presentation titled “Autism: The Same World, a Different Brain,” explaining key characteristics of autism and appropriate ways of interaction.

The event featured performances by members of the Inclusive Creative Association, including the anthem “Different Individuals” and musical pieces. It concluded with the presentation of certificates to students who completed the sign language course organized by “BSU Volunteers.”
