The opening ceremony of the “Youth in Intercultural Dialogue for Peace – Baku Forum” has been held at Baku State University (BSU).
BSU Vice-Rector Shahin Panahov highlighted the importance of intercultural dialogue in higher education, noting that United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly quality education, promote mutual understanding and cooperation among cultures. He emphasized that educating students from different countries contributes to a multicultural academic environment based on tolerance and respect.
Member of Parliament Rizvan Nabiyev stressed the growing relevance of intercultural dialogue amid global geopolitical tensions, describing the forum as an important platform for fostering mutual understanding among youth.
Deputy Chairman of the “One Volunteer” Student Cooperation Public Union Rufiz Gulizade noted that the forum brings together local and international students and youth activists, aiming to promote intercultural dialogue, strengthen cooperation, and advance the values of peace.
The forum will feature panel discussions, experience-sharing sessions, and interactive activities.
