SOCAR hosted an event titled “The Power of Partnership through Communication and Collaboration: Women Shaping the Future of Energy.”
The event, attended by SOCAR’s female executives and representatives of the Women in Energy Association visiting Azerbaijan, featured opening remarks by Aygun Huseynova, SOCAR’s Executive Director for Communications, SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova, and Andrea Panzel, Chair of the Women in Energy Association. The speakers highlighted the important role of women working in the energy sector, emphasizing their professionalism, innovative approaches, and contributions to shaping a sustainable energy future.
Presentations were then delivered by female representatives working across various fields within SOCAR, providing insights into different areas of the company’s activities. These included SOCAR’s work in communications and strategic partnerships, exploration, development and production, human capital development and inclusivity, integrated gas strategy, and digital transformation.
A presentation on the objectives and areas of activity of the Women in Energy Association was also delivered.
As part of the event, representatives of the Association visited SOCAR’s Head Office to explore the Azerbaijan Oil exhibition, as well as the Geophysics and Geology Department, where they were introduced to next-generation equipment, including systems enhancing the accuracy of seismic exploration, devices ensuring safe operations under high-pressure conditions, and technologies enabling real-time well management.
It should be noted that the representatives of the Women in Energy Association are also scheduled to visit Oil Rocks, one of the world’s first offshore oil production complexes, which has played a significant role in the development of Azerbaijan’s energy sector.
