BSU Holds Closing Ceremony of First Stage of “Lessons of Professor Nasir Imanguliyev” Project

The closing ceremony of the first stage of the “Lessons of Professor Nasir Imanguliyev” project was held at Baku State University (BSU). The initiative is dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the prominent journalist and public figure Professor Nasir Imanguliyev.

Speaking at the event, BSU Vice-Rector Alish Agamirzayev emphasized the importance of preserving university traditions and noted that the project contributes to the professional development of future journalists through engagement with leading media experts.

Chairman of the Press Council Rashad Majid highlighted Professor Imanguliyev’s role in establishing a strong journalism school in Azerbaijan and training generations of professional journalists, whose contributions continue to shape the media landscape today.

Speakers at the event included Professor Jahangir Mammadli, Professor Akif Rustamov, Professor Gulu Magerramli, and Nurlan Jabrailzade, who underlined the academic and practical significance of the project.

Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Vugar Aliyev noted that the initiative strengthens students’ understanding of press traditions while enhancing their practical skills.

It was also announced that the second stage of the project, an article competition, has officially begun.
