On 1 June 2026, within the framework of Baku Energy Week, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Gary Guidry, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gran Tierra Energy Inc.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of relations between the companies. The parties reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the Exploration, Development and Production Sharing Agreement (EDPSA) covering an onshore prospective area in the Guba–Khazaryani region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed in February this year between SOCAR and Gran Tierra Energy Inc.
The parties also exchanged views on opportunities to further expand cooperation in upstream activities, as well as on other issues of mutual interest.
