Beginning with the 2026/2027 academic year, the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science at Baku State University (BSU) will introduce three new master's specializations: Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, and Land Cadastre and Real Estate Registry.
The Environmental Impact Assessment specialization is designed to prepare professionals in environmental protection, environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental auditing, environmental monitoring, and environmental risk management. Graduates will be qualified to work in government agencies, environmental inspectorates, research institutions, consulting firms, as well as in the industrial, construction, energy, and agricultural sectors.
The Environmental Management program will train specialists in the development and implementation of green technologies, waste management, environmental marketing, and environmental certification. Career opportunities for graduates include positions in government and municipal institutions, international organizations, the corporate sector, and environmental auditing companies.
The third specialization, Land Cadastre and Real Estate Registry, focuses on land resource management, digital cadastral systems, and geospatial data. The curriculum places particular emphasis on spatial planning, digital transformation of the economy, and the implementation of major infrastructure projects, including those in the East Zangezur and Karabakh Economic Regions.
Graduates of the program will be eligible for employment at institutions under the Ministry of Economy, the State Service for Property Issues, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Azercosmos, as well as within international development and infrastructure projects.
