Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Guliyev met with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mariana Kuyundžić.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on urban planning and architecture, green transformation, improving the quality of the urban environment, and other issues of mutual interest.
Anar Guliyev noted that the joint projects implemented between Azerbaijan and the European Union make a significant contribution to the implementation of modern urban planning principles, the adoption of international best practices, and the promotion of innovative solutions. He emphasized the importance of this cooperation for achieving the country's sustainable development goals, supporting the green and digital transition, and introducing modern approaches to urban governance.
The meeting also reviewed European Union initiatives supporting the development of smart and healthy cities, as well as the modernization of urban infrastructure.
The parties expressed their interest in continuing cooperation in the fields of urban planning, urban mobility, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
