The President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Gunay Afandiyeva, met with the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askhat Oralov, who visited the organization as part of the official opening ceremony of the "2023 Shusha - Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" Year.
In the meeting, it was said that the announcement of the city of Shusha as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023 was welcomed by all Turkic peoples with great pride. The importance of events held by the Foundation to promote ancient historical heritage and values of Shusha in the cities of the Turkic World was emphasized. The large-scale "Days of Shusha" project organized by the Foundation in Bursa and Tashkent is also planned to be held in Kazakhstan.
In the meeting, planned joint measures in the field of studying, protecting and promoting the all-Turkic cultural heritage across the world were discussed. At the same time, the Minister appreciated the Foundation's close cooperation with Kazakhstan and stated his continued readiness to support the projects of the organization in the direction of promoting the culture of the country. The works carried out by the organization within the framework of the anniversaries of Abai, Zhambyl Zhabaev and other prominent literary figures of Kazakhstan were discussed. It was brought to attention that the new book by the Foundation dedicated to Abai will be published soon.
The meeting ended with an exchange of views on the development of mutual cooperation between the Foundation and Kazakhstan, as well as future joint projects.
