Music lovers will enjoy ten days of bright autumn: From October 17 to 27, jazz performed by famous musicians will be played at the International Mugham Center, the Conservatory, the Jolly Joker concert venue, the club at the Fairmont Baku Hotel and the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). In addition to concerts and jam sessions, the festival program includes master classes and meetings with jazz stars, “Jazz on Silk” exhibition, animated sketches “Jazz & Art”, “Best World Jazz Photo” exhibition, and the presentation of Bahram Bagirzade's book “Jazz for Children”.
Each Baku Jazz Festival is a harmonious program thought out to the smallest detail, capable of satisfying the most capricious music lover. This year, the festival will feature such genres as traditional jazz, ethno-jazz, bossa nova, and jazz-rock. World stars come to participate in the festival: in different years there were Diana Krall, Al Di Meola, Charles Lloyd, Keiko Matsui, Shakatak, Jazzanova, Fourplay. The highlight of this festival is the trio Interplay and the American singer Cheryl Riley. The still warm autumn evenings combined with jazz music will leave unforgettable impressions.
