As part of WTDC-25 in Baku, a meeting was held between representatives of the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA), Azerbaijan’s regulatory authority for telecommunications and postal services, and the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), Türkiye’s telecommunications regulatory authority.
Nail Mardanov, Chairman of the Board of ICTA, briefed participants on Azerbaijan’s progress in digital transformation, sector modernization, and efforts to align regulatory mechanisms with international standards.
The importance of strengthening cooperation between ICTA and BTK was also emphasized, highlighting its role in effectively addressing modern challenges and enhancing both security and service quality in the telecommunications markets of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The meeting included discussions on expanding experience-sharing in areas such as radio spectrum management, network resilience, emergency information exchange, and regulation of social media platforms. The parties also explored future cooperation opportunities and agreed to implement joint projects.
