4 TIR trucks, each carrying 18 tons of cargo, sent from Turkey to Afghanistan by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) arrived at the Port of Baku at noon today. More than 72 tons of cargo, mostly school supplies, are promptly unloaded and loaded into 45-foot containers by the port's team.

After the loading process is completed, the humanitarian aid will be loaded onto a vessel to transport to Turkmenistan and then by land to Afghanistan.

It should be noted that this type of cargo was previously delivered to the country of destination through other international transport corridors, however, many cargo owners give high importance to international transport corridors passing through Azerbaijan as they become more reliable, agile and operative in global connectivity.

As the Port of Baku, we are very privileged to support the uninterrupted and fast transportation of humanitarian aid.
