Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) Samir Akhundov met with a delegation led by Stefanie Stallmeister, the World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides held consultations on gas sector reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as tariff mechanisms.
The discussions also covered ongoing efforts to reduce methane emissions in Azerbaijan, as well as the prospects for potential follow-up investment financing from the World Bank and other financial institutions to support modernization of the gas infrastructure.
