The flagship EuroVillage event is coming to Ganja on Saturday, 6 June 2026 giving the public an exciting opportunity to learn more about the European Union (EU); its values, and activities, including the 30-year long co-operation and partnership with Azerbaijan. This is the second EuroVillage event in Ganja. The first EuroVillage was held in 2016 when Ganja was selected as the European Youth Capital.
EuroVillage 2026, with its theme of “EU-Azerbaijan: 30 years of Partnership” is organised by the Delegation of the EU to Azerbaijan in co-operation with Embassies of the EU Member States and with valuable support of the Executive Power of Ganja city.
The official opening will take place at 12.00 with participation of the Ambassadors of the EU and EU Member States to Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of the EU to Azerbaijan H.E. Marijana KUJUNDŽIĆ stated: “EuroVillage is a window to Europe that gives a priceless opportunity for the Azerbaijani public to discover the EU. This year, we are proud to share and celebrate 30 years of partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan. Since 1996, we have achieved a lot: hundreds of projects have been implemented in various sectors benefiting the people of Azerbaijan, from agriculture to business development, health, education, environment and many more. The EU is proud to be Azerbaijan's largest trading partner and investor, and we are committed to further strengthening our partnership”.
EuroVillage in Heydar Aliyev Square Ganja will be open to visitors from 12.00 to 17.00 on Saturday, 6 June and includes a rich and comprehensive programme of events and activities for all age groups. The official opening will be preceded by a tree planting event with the Head of the Executive Power, and EU Ambassadors at Heydar Aliyev Park.
The variety of exciting activities planned for EuroVillage includes kids’ activities like face painting, puppet show, table games, etc. The mainstage will also be a hub of activity and will feature a rich programme of dance and music from Europe and Azerbaijan, including fun quiz contests and mini competitions where prizes can be won.
During the event, visitors will be offered the chance to learn more about the EU by visiting the stands of EU Member States. Besides the Delegation of the European Union, the countries that will be represented include Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.
An amazing evening concert from 19.00 to 21.00 will close the EuroVillage 2026. The concert will feature performances by Chingiz Mustafayev and Darvish band. Join us to discover Europe in Ganja this weekend!
