Four new programs have been launched as part of the joint cooperation between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), PASHA Holding, and Holberton School Azerbaijan.
The official opening ceremony of the training program took place on 25 November. The event featured opening remarks by Shamsi Bayramzade, Executive Director of Holberton School Azerbaijan, Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of IDDA, Tughra Musayeva, representative of PASHA Holding, and Florian Bucher, CEO of Holberton School.The speakers highlighted the significance of the training programs, their contribution to the development of the country’s ICT ecosystem, and future opportunities for collaboration in this field.The event continued with a presentation showcasing graduates’ achievements, speeches from new students expressing their expectations and gratitude, and the screening of a video showcasing moments from the first days of the training program.
Out of 5,213 applications submitted to Holberton School Azerbaijan, 200 candidates were admitted to the program. The initiative aims to train 160 graduates.
The training programs will be delivered across five tracks: Full-Stack Web Development and AI (9 months), Cybersecurity (10 months), Machine Learning (10 months), Computer Science (9 months), and Generative AI (3 months). It should be noted that registration for the Generative AI track is expected to open in February 2026.
The primary aim of the training program is to prepare qualified specialists in the ICT field, attract individuals who have completed secondary education or discontinued their studies, support those seeking a career change, and enhance ICT literacy in the country, thereby contributing to economic development in this sector.
Since beginning operations in Azerbaijan in 2023, Holberton School Azerbaijan has graduated 129 students, 94 of whom completed the program in collaboration with IDDA. The graduate employment rate currently stands at 74%.
It should be noted that Holberton School Azerbaijan is part of the globally recognized Holberton School network. The project’s primary goal is to provide students with practical experience through self-directed learning, research, and work on real-world projects. IDDA has been cooperating with Holberton School for two years with the aim of introducing international experience in the field of ICT in the country.
Founded in 2016, Holberton School has grown into a global education network spanning more than 20 countries and over 30 cities. Graduates of these schools have built careers at leading technology companies such as LinkedIn, Google, Tesla, Docker, Apple, Dropbox, Facebook, Pinterest, Genentech, Cisco, and IBM.
