Fuzuli, "innews media" — The Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation (AZSİF) has unveiled its new logo and official website as part of a broader expansion of its activities.
According to "innews media", the changes were announced at a press conference held following the Fuzuli stage of the Mingachevir Regatta 2026 international tournament.
It was announced that the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation, previously operating under a different name, will now continue its activities under the name Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation (AZSİF).
The federation has also expanded its scope of activities, with sailing and sport fishing added to its list of disciplines.
Speaking at the press conference, officials said various projects and competitions had already been launched as part of the federation’s new areas of activity.
Two sport fishing competitions have been held so far. One was the “Cup Fishing” competition, while the other focused on carp fishing. The competitions were held in the Chukhuryurd area of Shamakhi in line with environmental requirements. Organizers said the fish caught during the competitions were released back into the water without being harmed.
A shore fishing competition was also held on the Caspian Sea.
As part of the federation’s renewed visual identity, its logo and other visual elements have also been redesigned.
The federation’s updated official website was also presented at the event. The organization’s website is now available at azwatersport.az, while changes have also been made to its social media accounts.
The press conference also addressed the performance of Azerbaijan’s team at the Fuzuli stage of the Mingachevir Regatta 2026. Officials described the team’s results as satisfactory and said further successful performances are expected in upcoming competitions.
